Lisbon definitely provides a multitude of vegan food. From savory to sweet, healthy and indulgent, you can find something for everyone. Here is a list of places I ate at or got a snack to go.

At La Romana Pizzeria they have a variety of toppings including some vegan options. They might be sold out, but just check with the staff for available vegan options. It is on the more expensive side, but it did taste very delicious. I enjoyed a slice with tomatoes and mushrooms, as well as a vegetable medley.

Enjoy healthy vegan food influenced by Indian cuisine set in a modern, industrial atmosphere. You can have a hearty grain bowl, indulge in an assortment of starters, even try out a sweet treat. In addition the staff is extremely helpful and forthcoming, which only highlights their message. I tasted the Torricado de broa de milho (Portuguese cornbread bruschetta with “parmesan”) and the Taça Proteina (protein bowl with black beans, sweet potato, spinach, avocado and pico de gallo)

The Time Out Market offers next to fresh produce, meat, and fish a hall that features multiple vendors. They showcase all types of dishes, from savory to sweet including international food. I do recommend you check it out, even though it has a limited vegetarian and vegan options. Beware it is a magnet for crowds. I did find a small vender outside in the hallway, that had a small shop enclosed in it selling some vegan treats. Sadly I forgot the name and couldn’t find it online, but I did have an incredible empanada and mini quiche.

Nestled in between other small restaurants and boutiques this small café overlooks the “Feira da Ladra” flea market. It is perfect for a small lunch or a short break with a hot or cold beverage. They offer a variety of Focaccia, and a vegan option with hummus and grilled eggplant. It is a cute little nook that is not only worth it to visit due to the beautiful view. It persuades with a very kind establishment and tasty food.

This was definitely a great find seeing as this is a buffet of super tasty vegan food. In other words, this amalgam of all types of dishes is truly a vegan dream. I had two plates full of food like veggie bake, fried rice, and salad for a low price. To sum up, I do recommend you to go and taste their flavourful and delicious recipes for yourself!

When I visit LxFactory I decided to make a pit stop at the therapist for a healthy lunch. The whole concept here is a healthy body; combining nutrition with physical therapy. Their menu has the intention to target specific functions of the body and empowering those. The minimalist set up with the hearty lunch I enjoyed made it a superb visit.

Plaza "Rossio"

Check out the vendors at Rossio that set up their booths selling all kinds of goods. Different savory and sweet treats, handmade soaps, and little remembrances. I strolled by and stumbled upon one of the vendors selling little savory cakes, quiches, and empanadas. Opting for a leek savory cake, which was a really tasty treat. This little set up at the plaza is certainly a tourist magnet. Therefore the prizes might be a little higher. I did however wanted to include it, as most people might come across “Rossio”.
